This contract is for construction
a five-storey high block; a three-storey low block and single storey
services block.
It consists of:
－The construction of a five-storey high block in overall size
72.0m x 26.0m on plan and 24.15m high from ground floor level to
main roof and three storey low block in overall size 17.0 x 12.0m
on plan and 12.0m high from ground floor level to main roof.
－The gross floor area for the hign block and low block; and the
service block are approximately 7,660 m2 and 185 m2 respectively.
The site area is approximately 13,000 m2.
－Associated building service installation work.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
It was a new headquarters for auxiliary police and a training
centre for auxiliary police.
An opening ceremony was carried out by Princess Alexandra in April,
1997.
The new Auxiliary Police Headquarters is designed to suit the
requirements of the Auxiliary Police Force. The primary design criteria
is functional segregation yet with efficient circulation flow. The
secondary design criteria is to provide a dignified building form
which will enhance the image of the Auxiliary Police Force.
The design is integrated with Environmental Protection concept.
The high block with major elevations facing North and South together
with the Multi-purpose Hall with side windows facing North and South
would reduce direct sunlight penetrating into the building thus
reducing the air-conditioning energy consumption in summer. The
1/F terrace garden and G/F garden are provided with large quantity
of plants. The building is equipped with central air conditioning
with energy saving control devices.
The Entrance Lobby is located to face the junction of two streets
in order to maximise its visual prominence attracting the attention
of vehicular and pedestrian traffic. The circular Lobby Entrance
is shaped to follow the site boundary profile.
The skylight above the Entrance Lobby is designed to warm up the
body and spirit of the visitors and users. It also invites the golden
sunlight to brighten the heart of the building as well as the heart
of the visitors and users.
Within this building, facilities are provided for the operation
of Auxiliary Police Force in exercising their duty, administration,
training and drills. The exterior of the new headquarters is also
carefully designed by employing modern and contemporary architectural
language enchancing the image required for the Auxiliary Police
Force.

項目要點
本項目是新輔助警察總部和訓練中心。啟用典禮於1997年4月舉行。
在規劃上，新輔助警察總部的首要設計要點是在使用功能上既有分割又要保証暢通，其次是要提高輔助警察的形象。
設計時還考慮了環保因素。高座南北主立面和多功能廳南北面的邊窗可減少射入樓內的陽光，因而減少夏季空調的電力消耗。1樓和底樓種植了大量植物。
大廈的集中空調為節能型。
入口大堂設於兩條馬路的交匯處，以吸引車輛和途人的注意力。弧型入口大堂設計是為適應地盤邊界形狀。
入口大堂頂上的天窗有助於提高來客和使用者的精神，它給大樓的心臟帶來金色的陽光，同時也給人們的心中帶來陽光和溫暖。
該大廈亦提供了輔助警察部隊所需的管理、值勤和訓練方面的設施。
